How to apply foundation

- Blend the cream foundation smoothly using a cosmetic sponge in long sweeping motions.

- Cosmetic sponge helps you to manage and apply foundation more easily and gives a better and smoother result.

- For perfect matching, foundations should not be tested on hands or insides of your wrist as the color of your face definitely differs from the color of these areas of your body. The best way is to test the foundation on your jaw line and see whether it matches the natural color of your neck or not. Matching under different light settings gives you a better idea about the correct foundation for your skin.

- Foundation needs to be blended, properly, especially under the jaw line, into the hairline, on the ear lobes, corners of the nose and mouth and over and under the eyes, so that they don't let on the difference that the foundation makes to your skin to the viewer.

- To retouch a particular spot, reapply the foundation there lightly and blend it with the rest of the face. Then powder it lightly with the translucent powder to let it set properly.

- Touchup with dual active powder foundations can easily help you to change your look from day makeup      to night makeup as it works as foundation as well as powder. For sheer finish using this foundation, you just have to dampen your cosmetic sponge a little.

- While applying liquid foundation, it is better to put small points of foundation at different parts of your face such as forehead, nose tip, chin and cheek bones and then blend a little at a time on the face to give a more finished look.

- You can use powder foundation just like the normal compact powder.

Natural eye makeup application

Natural eye makeup technique will apply to most women. Follow the steps below for a beautiful basic eye makeup application that works for different eye shapes. If necessary, you may vary your eye makeup application depending on your eye shape:

1. Apply light eyeshadow from lash to brow to open your eyes. Use neutral colors.

2. Apply medium color to your eyelid crease and blend up to the brow bone. This shade should be close to your natural skin color. This will give slight depth to eyes.

3. Apply dark eyeshadow of the same color in the outer corners of your eyes to shape your eyes.

4. Optionally apply dark shade along upper and lower lash lines or line upper lids with eyeliner. Avoid thick lines.

5. To brighten your eyes, you could apply a bit of shimmery shadow in the inner corners of your eyes.

6. Apply mascara on upper lashes with emphasis on outer corners.

7. Shape ebrows and fill in with eyebrow pencil

Natural eye makeup tips:

- To get a natural makeup look, you should keep your eye makeup application technique to a minimum.

- Warm colors look more natural.

- Apply eyeliner as close to lashes as possible

- Smudge the line or use the matching eyeshadow to soften.

What you will need for natural eye makeup

- You will need two or three tones of eyeshadow but three tones are better. They should have the same neutral tone. Warmer colors look great anytime.

Light shade - to open and brighten your eyes.

Medium shade - to give depth to eyes.

Dark shade - will give shape to the eyes.

The intensity of color you wear depends on your skin tone. The lighter the skin tone, the less intense color you should use.

- Eyeliner

- Mascara

- Eyebrow pencil

Simple eye makeup application

Although eye makeup trends changes quickly, there are some simple eye makeup tips and tricks that work for almost everyone:

- light shades make your eyes visually bigger and wider while dark shades make your eyes visually smaller and deeper set

- while using eyeliner, draw the line as close to lashes as possible, then smudge the line or use the matching eyeshadow to soften

- to make eyes appear bigger, apply eyeliner from middle of the eyelid to the outer corner of your eye and extend eyeliner beyond the eye

- for softer look you can line your eyes with deep-toned eyeshadow instead of the eyeliner

- when using dark eyeshadow on the lower eyelid avoid lining the bottom.

- for more natural look, apply mascara on the outer tips of your lashes

- to make your lashes thicker, close your eyes and dust them with loose power before applying your mascara

- to avoid the clumps, use a special eyelash comb or a second wand to brush stuck eyelashes

- if you apply more than one coat of mascara, always allow the first coat to dry before applying the second one

- For a more dramatic look curl your eyelashes before applying mascara.

Simple eye makeup application

Follow the steps below for simple eye makeup application that works for different eye shapes:

1. Prepare your eyes. Even if you do not intend to wear the foundation, apply eye base to your eyelids to prepare them for eye makeup application. It helps you wear eye makeup longer.

2. Eyeshadow application

Start with applying light eyeshadow from lashes to brow to open your eyes. Apply medium color to your eyelid crease and blend up to the brow bone. This shade should be close to your natural skin color. This will give slight depth to eyes.

Complete eyeshadow application with dark eyeshadow of the same color in the outer corners of your eyes to shape your eyes. Blend the colors well.

To brighten your eyes, you could apply a bit of shimmery shadow in the inner corners of your eyes.

2. Eyeliner application

You could select from pencil eyeliner and liquid eyeliner. Pencil eyeliner gives your eyes soft definition while liquid eyeliner helps you really emphasize your eye shape creating more dramatic look.

While applying eyeliner, draw the line as close to the lashes as possible.

Pencil eyeliners are easier to use. When applying eyeliner, hold the outer corner of your eye with the finger tip and drawing the line as close to the lashes as possible.

Liquid eyeliner application needs some practice. If you use liquid eyeliner, hold the outer corner of lid taut and apply the eyeliner using quick short strokes. Make sure that the brush used for applying eyeliner is thin.

3. Complete your look with mascara

Mascara is used to make the lashes look thicker and darker. Black mascara works well on almost everyone for most occasions but choosing mascara color, you should pay attention to the color of your natural lashes.

For more natural look, apply mascara on the outer tips of your lashes.

Hairstyle inspired by Willow Smith

So I was going to do my normal Keyshia Dior hairstyle for my birthday but Willow Smith's video came on and a light went off in my head. I have not yet to see ANYONE in my area do that hairstyle so I wanted it.
